Data & analytics with MCP servers
Warehouses, BI dashboards, product analytics and data sources your AI can query. 11 of 14 have an official server from the vendor.
Databricks publishes an official managed MCP server, Genie One, reached through your workspace's Unity Gateway and documented on docs.databricks.com. It signs in with OAuth and enforces Unity Catalog permissions. The older Beta Genie endpoint is deprecated and sunsets October 31, 2026. Anthropic's directory lists a Databricks Genie connector.
Strava publishes an official remote MCP connector at mcp.strava.com, documented on its help center and listed in Claude's directory as Anthropic verified. It is read-only, uses OAuth, and needs a paid Strava subscription. At launch it supports Claude only; community servers cover other clients.
Airtable hosts an official remote MCP server at mcp.airtable.com/mcp, documented on airtable.com and listed in Anthropic's connector directory as Anthropic verified and made by Airtable. It signs in with OAuth or a personal access token and can create and update records, fields and draft automations; read-only access is possible by limiting token scopes.
Firecrawl has an official MCP server published by Firecrawl at firecrawl/firecrawl-mcp-server, with a hosted remote endpoint (mcp.firecrawl.dev) and a local npx option. It supports OAuth or an API key, and a limited keyless tier. Caveat: its docs instruct agents to send search feedback to Firecrawl by default.
PostHog publishes an official remote MCP server at mcp.posthog.com/mcp, documented on posthog.com, built in the PostHog GitHub org, and listed in Anthropic's directory as Anthropic verified. It signs in with OAuth or a personal API key and has a documented read-only mode. Writes are on by default.
Tableau (Salesforce) publishes an official MCP server, open source in the tableau GitHub org and documented at tableau.github.io. A hosted version at mcp.tableau.com uses OAuth 2.1 for Tableau Cloud; a self-hosted npx server uses a personal access token. It is listed in Anthropic's connector directory as Anthropic verified. Some tools can delete content.
Metabase includes an official MCP server in the product itself, served from your own Metabase instance and documented on metabase.com. It signs in with OAuth and is limited to each user's Metabase permissions. An admin must turn it on, and it can create dashboards and run raw SQL. Claude's directory lists it as Anthropic verified.
Splunk publishes an official MCP Server for the Splunk platform, documented on help.splunk.com. It runs inside your Splunk Cloud or Enterprise deployment, so the endpoint is yours, and it signs in with OAuth. Splunk's docs list tools that look read-only, and its tool permissions are admin-controlled. No Claude connector was confirmed.
Snowflake offers an official Snowflake-managed MCP server, created inside your account with CREATE MCP SERVER and documented on docs.snowflake.com. It uses Snowflake OAuth, exposes Cortex Agents, Search, Analyst, SQL execution and custom tools, and enforces role-based access per tool. The older Snowflake-Labs local server is deprecated.
Microsoft publishes official Power BI MCP servers, documented on Microsoft Learn: a hosted authoring server (preview), a local authoring server (generally available, open source), and an earlier hosted query server (preview). All sign in with Microsoft Entra ID, and a Fabric admin must enable a tenant setting for hosted use. Claude directory listing not verified.
Google publishes an official Google Analytics MCP server, documented on developers.google.com and hosted at github.com/googleanalytics/google-analytics-mcp. It runs locally, uses Application Default Credentials with the analytics.readonly scope, and is read-only. The repo labels it experimental. No Google-hosted remote endpoint was found.
no official Zotero MCP server is verified, and no Zotero team statement on one was found. Community options include the open-source 54yyyu/zotero-mcp, which runs locally against Zotero's local API, and a third-party hosted proxy that uses your Zotero API key. Review any server before giving it library access.
no official Garmin MCP server is verified. The leading option is the community project Taxuspt/garmin_mcp, which logs into Garmin Connect through an unofficial library, exposes 110+ tools including delete and workout upload, and can be narrowed with enable and disable lists.
no official PostgreSQL MCP server was verified; the PostgreSQL project publishes none. The best-known server, the modelcontextprotocol reference implementation, is archived and had a documented read-only bypass. Maintained community options such as Postgres MCP Pro run locally with a connection string. Use a read-only database role regardless.
