| Plan needed | Hosted service is for Tableau Cloud customers; Tableau Server needs the self-hosted server. | Safety flags | The Claude directory lists delete-datasource and delete-workbook. Repo docs describe delete as an admin-only tool that needs ADMIN_TOOLS_ENABLED and a two-phase preview/confirm. Tool scoping env vars can limit content. No global read-only switch was confirmed. | Can delete model objects and run bulk changes with your Write permission. Microsoft warns changes may be irreversible and that destructive-operation safeguards are not standardized; no read-only mode documented. Back up the model first. |
