As of October 2026, Metabase includes an official MCP server in the product itself, served from your own Metabase instance and documented on metabase.com. It signs in with OAuth and is limited to each user's Metabase permissions. An admin must turn it on, and it can create dashboards and run raw SQL. Claude's directory lists it as Anthropic verified.
