It is strictly read-only, runs locally or on your own Cloud Run, and signs in with OAuth or a service account. No Google-hosted public endpoint is documented; a hosted pilot is allowlist-only.

Does Google Ads have an official MCP server?

Yes. Google publishes an open-source Google Ads MCP server at github.com/googleads/google-ads-mcp and documents it on developers.google.com.

Can it change my campaigns?

No. Google's guide says the implementation is strictly read-only; it exposes search, resource-metadata and list-customers tools.

Is it a hosted Claude connector?

No Claude directory listing was found. You run it locally or deploy it to your own Cloud Run. Google mentions a hosted pilot limited to allowlisted participants.

Do I need a developer token?

Google's guide says developer tokens were sunset on September 9, 2026 and are no longer required in the latest version, though the repo README still describes the token step.

Can I get write access?

Not from Google's server. Community write-enabled servers exist but were not verified here.
