Does draw.io have an official MCP server or Claude connector?

Official

As of October 2026, draw.io (diagrams.net) has an official MCP server, published by JGraph in the jgraph/drawio-mcp repo. A hosted version at mcp.draw.io renders diagrams inline in chat, and an npm package, @drawio/mcp, opens them in the editor. It only creates diagrams. The hosted version receives the diagram content you send.

Yes. The jgraph/drawio-mcp repo describes itself as the official draw.io MCP server.

Is draw.io a Claude connector?

The repo README says draw.io is listed in the Claude connector directory. That directory page returned HTTP 403 to automated fetch, so it was not independently opened.

Does my diagram leave my machine?

With the hosted mcp.draw.io server, yes. The npm tool server and self-hosted options keep it local, per the README.
